The Green Bull Institute is a scientific research center dedicated to the development of advanced technologies for the extraction, analysis and standardization of plant extracts with special emphasis on cannabinoids, terpenes and other bioactive compounds.
Our goal is to connect science and industry through innovative approaches that enable the application of natural ingredients in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries.
Through a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers, the Institute researches and develops sustainable and highly efficient extraction processes, advanced analysis methods and new formulations of natural products.

Our research team consists of PhDs, chemists, biotechnologists and industrial application experts with many years of experience in the fields of phytochemistry, pharmaceutical technology and product development.
1. Phytochemistry and extraction technologies
We develop and optimize the processes of supercritical CO₂ extraction, ethanol extraction and fractionation of bioactive compounds. All processes are carried out in a closed cycle, according to internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), with full control of temperature, pressure and media purity.
2. Analytical chemistry and quality control
We use validated HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR and UV-VIS methods for the identification and quantification of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. Our protocols ensure high reproducibility and reliability of results in accordance with international standards.
3. Applied research and formulation
In cooperation with industrial partners, we develop innovative formulations for cosmetic, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications, based on scientifically verified extracts. Our equipment and infrastructure Green Bull Institute operates in a facility with an area of 2,000 m², located at Kurtovići 17, Klis (Croatia). The facility contains a modernly equipped laboratory, a pilot plant for extraction and distillation, and a dedicated space for formulation development and quality control.

The Institute operates within the legal framework of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, and all products and protocols undergo internal and external quality control. The Institute, in cooperation with the certification body Quality Austria, is in the process of implementing a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and HACCP standards for safety and process control in the production and handling of herbal extracts. The goal is to establish an integrated system that ensures full traceability, safety and compliance with EU regulations.
